Yes its for the diff

GL5 is like a rating or classification for the oil. Not exactly sure what it means, but i know your in trouble if you use GL4 in your diff......

You could try this oil right here

Motul diff oil or the one above which is 75w140. Not sure if it will fix the problem but since its 10-20$ for a quart of oil its cheap troubleshooting.

guess i have to try motul then..oh well goodbuy to royal purple then....... i need to protect my diffy.

what type of motul diff oil should i use?? there are two types the 75w90 and the 75w140??? thanks they are both gl5. the 75w140 is competion and the 75w90 is gear FFlsd type 2

hi guys!! we just finished inspecting the humming sound and its comming from thr tranny not from the diff. my mechanic said that its normanl since the tranny hasnt been used for 5years,, he said it could come off and it cane be louder... he said it could be the bearings.................what do you think guys??? thanks!!!
