Well of course. Most people running CAI's are running low cost, poorly designed units. My research suggest at best you keep stock power and pick up some noise. At worse, you're robbing the motor of power with the added risk of ruining the motor.

I guess I don't win enough money racing on the weekends to justify the risk. So the 'worth' is not there for me.

 

I have splash guards and an water cover thing from Injen and I have never had a problem.

 

No fender liners? well there's your problem.. what do you think your tires are doing? they soaked the filter in water.
