Is it easy to hydrolock an s2k? I recently came back to this forum and I've noticed posts like this in the past. If so, is there any way to prevent this? Or should one just not drive in the rain
In my opinion, it is very easy. Don't think for a second you need to drive through a puddle.

My OTHER hydrolock customer blew his engine, in his driveway, after sitting all night. He was parked uphill. Melting snow tricked into his AEM CAI overnight. He wasnt even driving.

Just install a bypass valve if you run a CAI

Are there any dyno studies here that show that CAI works better than OEM or a snorkel on the OEM airbox?

I've had all three and did not find any "butt dyno" difference.
On a track, or under extended running times, the CAI is a considerable improvement, but just driving around town, I doubt if you pick up anything.

The AEM V2 cold air increases HP vs. the stock setup. This has been dyno proven ages ago. Check out their website or search some more in the forums.
