Welp, simple solution.. create a shield around the top of the filter element to deflect the water away from the filter..

was thinking of doing it, but space seems very limited, if the shroud is too tight around the filter it will affect air flow. I will have to back to the drawing board on this one

It should be an easy thing to fix.

Drill a small hole at the lowest point of the CAI so water can get out.

On the outside of the intake make a square flap that covers the hole but with only 3 edges tape/seal to the intake. The fourth one is free.

Water will drain out when the engine is off.
With negative pressure, when the NA enginine runs, the flap will close onto and seal the hole.

This is the basis of a hymen flap that you normally see in hospital for pneumothorax and is also the treatment for open chest wound. I think it will work for the F20C.
I was going to do this earlier but I hope that my engine will survive until the Vortech come.

How about a piece of tape over that hole?

A little tape might not prevent coat hanger penetration but surely it will stop some rain water.

I was thinking a rubber plug would do the trick.

If you plug that hole then water goes into the next hole. That hole drains to on top of the headlight. I dunno if its good to have a constant water flow on a rainy day to the back of the headlight? The drain placement is usually there for a reason.

good points. But the headlight is sealed and I'd rather take my chances with the headlight than the engine
