Default I suck, need help with CAI install.

Well I have the day off and have the car in pieces. Everything that needs to be off is off. I have no idea where all of those hoses go and how that damn pibe goes. Does it require cutting.

Anyone that has pics would be awesome.

Thanks,

Dave

I have everything hooked up except the metal thing by the TB. It is so damn tight pushed against the intake pipe I cant move it.

looks like it is designed that it should be removed. How to you change the ones with coolant in them?

Not sure what metal thing you're talking about. There's nothing special to do with the coolant lines, just pull them off and install the new ones, being careful not to spill coolant on the ground.

Check out this link:

You can either remove the breather tube unit (I think this is what you are talking about) completely and simply replace it with rubber hoses. Take a good look at each hose, and see where it comes from and where it goes into.

If not you can shave the breather hose unit like I did in the link above to provide for more clearance.
It is an inexpensive part to replace.

thanks so much everyone. Install came out great. I love it. I was just paranoid that the coolant ones were onder presure and it was going to go everywhere.

thanks,
Dave
