In all my drive train woes and the amount of stress my car takes from the street and track, I am looking into ways to making the rear end of our cars invincible. I am on my 2nd LSD and just replaced my ring and pinion with cryogenically treated J's 4.44 gears. Although the recent problem has been fixed, I am concerned with the amount of added HP, I and other FI guys will run into these same issues. I'm sure you have seen other horror stories of broken diffs and axles on this and other s2000 forums. My issue was the bearing on the pinion rod could not hold the HP and would spin causing the rod to wear down and warp.

There are several ideas Keith (Honda Mechanic) wants to try but I wanted to gather everyone

M777ERLIN, I have a stock tranny wich is taken all a part and the housing to it. I blew my tranny to little bits so I bought a spoon tranny. I need to get some cash for that stock unit if you want it. Let me know. RAT

So, these Ford rears are similar in size and weight to the S2000 rear? I just always picture them being big and heavy.

And they can hold up to an excessive amount of horsepower!
