Default That infamous Check Engine Light

Hello Everyone!!

I have a situation that hopefully someone can help me with. I have a 2007 S2000 and replaced the stock Air Filter with a K&N Filter. I also at the same time replaced the stock intake pipe, with the SAMCO one. I am pretty sure that i plugged everything back in. There was not much to disconnect in the first place. I turned the car on and BOOM CEL!!! I made sure again to see that everything was plugged in... Any ideas????

Thanks everyone, hope someone has an idea as to what i can check!!

Claudio

Triple check everything connected, im pretty sure you forgot something. Take it to an autostore and theyll check the code for free.

Theres a sensor under the intake arm to the left of it, on the box. And also the hose that goes into the intake manifold, and the hose for the air pump.

Might also be a good idea to unhook the battery for 15 minutes while playing with the sensors. The stock dbw ecu can take 15 minutes plus to shutdown.

seriously, your best best bet is to just go get it checked at Autozone in the morning then look up the codes. But these guys are all giving out exactly what it could be.

Thanks everyone for all of your input!! I m going to go look at it now and just look again to see if there is anything obvious and also unplug the battery. If that doesn't fix the issue, i will get the code read.
Quick note on that, is the 07 a OBDII or OBD III? I read somewhere on the forum that some of our cars were already switched over to a CAN system... Any Ideas?
Thanks again Everyone!!

OK, I got to the garage.. open the hood.. looked around... everything looked ok... Figured ahh what the heck... let me start it up. And just to play games with someones mind, the little infamous yellow light was POOOFFFF BE GONE!!!

Hey i'm not complaining!!

Drove the car for a while and the light didn't come back on. What I found weird was that yesterday the light came on as soon as i started the car. Almost as if a sensor was unplugged. But the only sensor i touched, was the air intake temp sensor, and it was plugged back in. Strange, but problem is GONE!!

Thanks everyone again for all of your help and ideas!
One quick question, is it worth doing the airbox mod,, where we cut off that wall tats inside of it splitting the chamber in 2? I realize that the top of the box has a diverter on it that directs the air to the top of the filter, but would it be better to open the entire box up and feed the entire box with the Seibon radiator cover with the semi snorkel built it?

Thanks!!

Claudio

Leave the intake alone. The walls are there to help build pressure waves. The 06+ stock intake is the best intake you can get. The last couple dyno days have shown that the stock intake provides more air pressure/power than any aftermarket intake. We have seen aem, k&n, short ram custom, prm etc and none of them offered the performance that the stock did.
