Default INFO: Coil-Packs

Hey guys, after searching around for information on coil-packs, I've decided to
make a thread with coil pack info.

I will edit this section after we collect and verify information.

So,

1Coil pack testing if you get a code/misfire
ohm tester? tested in series, car start up, car warm, car hot

2Coil pack swaps
K20 coil-packs, rsx coil-packs compatibility, 00-01? 02-04? etc difference?

3Actual technical information
dimensions, how many ohms/amps, heat ranges,

Thanks for any help and input on this subject.

great job guys, thanks for the extra info. So rsx coilpack, now will any civic coilpack work as well,

I'm thinking some kid is gonna need some test packs, or something, this could be a good way to source a pair. esp if its off a civic.

I'm using the 04-05 coilpacks on my ap1, I've always heard that 06+ coils are not to be used on ap1's. The 04-05 coils are supposed to be an upgrade to the ap1 version, mine run great but I have no proof that they provide any definititve gain.

yea that's kinda what i wanna take care of with this thread in its definitive form, cut the bullshit out.

for example. why are 04-05 better? anyone ever rip apart a 00 or 04 and see what gauge the wire is, maybe thickness of insulator, etc..

also if anyone has any blown coil packs, send me them, I'll dissect them, metallurgy, etc
