For the last couple of days I've been hearing a rattle from within the driver side door, rough road, closing the door and even the bass from music will make it rattle and it's driving me just a tad insane. Pulled off the door card and spent 2 hours trying to find it and I think I might have, but I have no clue how to fix it. I circled the area of what I think is causing it, just lightly pressing on the outer door will cause a squeak in this area and it seems that the squeak is coming from the door pressing on that bar or whatever it is that's circled. I really have no clue how to make it go away, any ideas?

It looks like it is just a support for the door skin... is the part fixed or does it function? If it is fixed in place you can try some Goop glue in between the door skin and that bar. Goop stays kinda rubbery so it should flex with the car without coming loose.

 

If there's enough backing area I would drive a ~1/2" self tapping screw in it with a rubber washer in the center.
