installing boost gauge
xviper, i'm having a problem finding the T fitting. Where did you get yours? My local auto parts stores (more than one) don't have the copper or metal versions. They just have plastic. I prefer other than plastic.

I get all such fittings from a local performance shop that specializes in all sorts of "speed" equipment. They carry Autometer gauges and these fittings are part of the adaptors that most people need when putting gauges onto their cars. I'm afraid this shop "MOPAC" is a Canadian chain located in only a few major cities.
Ok, I've wired up my vacuum line and tried different locations near the intake manifold and under the dash that goes to the controls. Both didn't work for me. I checked for leaks and also verified air is running through the hose. You think the gauge is not working? Suggestions?
Thanks in advance. =)

Which manifold line did you "T" into? And what kind of adaptor did you find to take the little white plastic gauge tube to connect to the bigger rubber line? Also, that little white line seals up to their end connectors via "ferrules". If you damaged a ferrule or didn't use one, you have no seal.
Sorry, I wasn't very detailed. I'm using a copper female "T" fitting 1/8" to 2 pipe threads 1/8" to 1/4" hose connecting to the vacuum line as shown on your photo. Ferrules were used on both ends. The only thing I didn't use is the Teflon tape. Even though I didn't use teflon, I should get some type of reading. Maybe it is a leak I'm unware of, but to my knowledge there are no leaks. Any good troubleshooting tips on finding leaks? I can't hear or feel any leaks.
Thanks...

One hose I "T" into was under the dash. There is a vac hose running through the firewall under the dash that connects to the Honda computer unit. The other hose I "T" into is as exactly as shown on your photo Xviper. Both sources had vac air running through. It's not blowing air, it's sucking air. I'm surprised that boost should show anything at idle. Is that correct? I'm going to try alternate areas and try to keep tapping or borrow a friend's boost gage to see if it is a malfunction.
Well, I'm beginning to think that there is something wrong with your gauge. If you were to blow or suck into the end of the tube, you should see a bit of deflection in the needle by just doing that. If not, I'd say your gauge is buggered. Could you have possibly tightened the nut around the ferrule too tight? This would oclude the tube entirely.
