Default Installing Speed Bleeders

I have a set of Speed Bleeders arriving soon. According to the website, I just unscrew the old bleeders and screw in the new ones. This doesn't seem right, since brake fluid would run all over the place.

Do I need to drain my brake fluid before installing these? Or is there a trick to it? The same question goes for installing SS brake lines, as well: do I need to drain the system first?

Thanks, guys.

You will get air in the lines on both installs - obviously more on the lines than the bleed bolts. Just do a good flush and you should be set. You may want to upgrade fluid while you are at all of this. then a very good flush is required to rid the system of the old fluid completely.

No! Never flush the brake system with anything but brake fluid.
