Default Intake Piping

What are the metals usually used for intake pipings? I'm planning to have a custom intake piping done for the Apexi filter and the bodyshop here can only do it with stainless steel.

Will it be suitable or other alloy e.g aluminium is preferable?

Thanks

Most intakes are usually aluminum. I'm sure the SS one that your bodyshop fabricates for you will look really nice tho. I don't see any reason why aluminum should be any better than SS. Only thing is aluminum would be lighter.

Thanks for the input

Not sure about this one, but I am also concerned if SS gets heated easily over aluminium which results in power loss. Any ideas?

Aluminum disipates heat very rapidly. SS does not.
