I have had the same problem. The map whack seems to fix it. It does seem to return though every 4-5 months. For the record, the car is a daily driver with 15k miles and is VTEC'd very often.

Misfire counters all at zero, Slows2k...The newer Mastertech units will not accept the Honda software. If you can find one thats a little older, that hasn't been sent in for repairs (because they will automatically add the blocker software) it would work with the Honda software. So that would be nice to get ahold of as well

I'm gonna swap MAP's with a buddy and see if we can get the problem to jump to his car....Has anyone tried to disassemble the map and rectify this once and for all? I will do it if it can be done...

Just removing and reinstalling normally jars the sensor enough that the problem will go away for awhile. As I understand it the device just contains a pressure sensitive chip so once you hack it open there is little to see. I have seen half dozen incidents of missing at high throttle openings and it have been the MAP every time. I installed a new one on my car and it is the same as the old, needing a whack every year or so.
