Default Issue with stalling and electrical problems!

Hey Everyone,

I have been having electrical issues for the past few days. The car will be driving along fine and suddenly the lights and car will just cut out, and by this i mean everything, gauges etc... I'll also have to reset my radio. It'll die as well when i have let the car idle for a few seconds and quickly turn the steering wheel either direction. It'll be like the car just shuts off, then resets itself. When this happens the engine cuts out as well.

A little backstory and my processes to solve the issue:

1.) I have relocated my battery to the back, and have checked all the connections to and from the battery and attachment plate in front. There are no loose wires.

2.) My alternator's rectifier is going out as the gauges will flicker at idle and occasionally when i'm cruising.

3.) I just had my clutch changed, as in 2 days ago. The stalling issue has reared its head since the clutch change.

Could this be a bad alternator? or is this something to do with my clutch change and possibly messing up a wire?

Jon.
Bring the car to a reputable repair shop that could test the whole battery/charging system. I have seen a bad battery cause a VERY similar issue on a Lexus RX truck.

It does sound like something could be shorting out. If you don't mind me asking, who did the clutch?

Could you have deleted an engine ground as you relocated the battery?

What was so bad about where Honda put the battery, this is a strange habit with the "tucked engine bay" crowd that I have yet to figure out.

The additional positive cabling adds weight and possibility of a short, and/or fire, and eats up precious trunk space that S2000's have so little of anyway, and couldn't help resale value at all.

I'll take my car to get the charging system and battery checked out. My voltage at the battery is good, but when i turn the steering wheel quickly at a stop, ill see my voltage drop down quite substantially. I changed the clutch with the help of some friends.

The grounds have been fine in the past, and surprisingly, with running a low gauge wire, i was able to get my car to start just and quickly as it was stock. I have setup a fuse at the battery, as well as one in the engine compartment, so i'm not to worried about fire. I'm not too concerned about resale as this car will never be sold. Honestly, I only relocated it because i installed a turbo kit that infringed on that area of my car, I'd have never relocated it otherwise.

update:

The negative battery connection on my battery wasn't tight and i guess with vibration would occasionally disconnect. The car no longer shuts itself off, but still flickers. Also, when i stress the system, ie. i turn fan on high, lights, high beams, turning steering wheel at stop, the voltage drops down into the low 12v whereas it had been hovering around 13.4-13.6ish.
