good to know now i have to figure out what is causing the power loss and rough idle.
your AFR being off could be the only thing wrong and that would KILL power and idle...

02 sensor tells the ECU what the AFR is so the ECU can correct it! O2 sensor goes bad... AFR goes in the toilet. 02 sensors go bad... fact of life. They normally don't die in a month... more like 75k miles... or like 20k miles if you use leaded gas.

What new 02 sensor did you use?

changed the sensor for an older one I had and the AFR changed from a flickering +-7 to a steady 8.16, still rich - compression and leak down next I guess

check your vacuum lines next for a leak or a blockage. I had a small hole develop in the vacuum line from my #2 runner and it threw everything out of whack. My map went way rich, especially under load, but not as bad as yours....I'd pull each vacuum line off and check the connections, flow, and tubing to make sure everything is ok on the vacuum side. Since you're running MAP based, this will defenately cause symptoms similar to what you're describing.

Asura and RWD_RCKT to the rescue indeed - these guys came over and figured out the AEM settings had changed. We can't figure out if it was the result of the open loop left by the initial tune or what. TPS was left at 75% - asura fixed the AFR and idling. car's running very strong again
