I don't think it can't be done. I'm sure it can. But you guys are comparing Jackson racing's charger on Type R, Del Sol or RSX-Type S. Which are all front wheel drive cars. And these FWD cars are all proven to be able to handle +500 HP.
S2000's motor will have no problem in making power as long as it's built right. But S2000 with it's rear wheel drive set up. I don't know how much torque our car can handle before the diff. or the axle go.

Pay attention. EVO S2000 has pointed out that if you could even do such a mod, you only create an Achilles heel. In other words, the weakest link in the chain is now even weaker.

that may be a concern for some of us... but it isn't much of a concern for JR. they have made products which don't really 'work' all that well for a long time. their prelude kit had a number of deficiencies which led to about a third of the first 20 or so owners i knew of blowing their motors.

i really do believe it's just a market thing. there are a lot more focus' and rsx' out there to possibly sell kits to.

I had a JR SC on my Miata a few year ago for 3 months before taking it off and selling it. Their kit sucked. Fortunately, there are people who care much more about the Miata and have refined the world of supercharged Miatas:

I'm sure the S2000 would handle a low boost M62 kit doing 5psi or so. It takes a Vortech SC going to redline. Why couldn't take a roots blower?

I remember reading somewhere that Comptech tried a Eaton blower first, But it could not take the RPM range with out overheating the rotors.

There are plenty of stock S's that have ate the rear diff. A roots blower or turbo that makes boost at lower RPM will kill the diff even faster. A Comptech housing would be in order.

I have driven a 92 hatch Civic with a B18C and a Jackson blower. The instant boost is very nice. Very snotty little car. Of course the 11 psi pulley and hondata really helped. It didn't help out enough to outrun my car from a 15mph roll.
