I love and gonna miss this mod too
It's worth every penny and very functional for the short time it stayed in my engine bay. I had to remove it to mount a top mount turbo.

Do you guys think I can mount it in any other place? Just brainstorming

honda9krpm,

Do you want to sell yours, will it fit with the Vortec SC?

It reduces the torque effect of the engine while changing RPMs and stabilizes the engine and tranmission assembly.

I had one of these on my Alfa Romeo GTV race car for many years, so I'm very familiar with it's function.

Watch (carefully!) your gearshift lever when you drive over rough surfaces, or when you blip the throttle to heel and toe. The lever moves all over the place. This is a reflection of the movement of the engine and tranny.

When the car is cornering, the engine torqing effect can be enough to unsettle the car. Hitting a bump while cornering can do the same thing due to the amplified momentum through the engine and tranny.

The engine damper greatly reduces this effect. The S2K comes out of the box with a great tranny, but with the engine damper, IMO, shifting is 100% smoother.

sorry kevin, I am holding onto this until I could find another spot to mount it

There is no problem mounting it with the supercharger. All you have to do is rotate the bracket (on the engine side of the ETD) and drill another hole. Sorry I do not have a picture of this close up

This thing works really well. Shifting is crisped even with the sc on board running 14psi.

LHD S2000's with a Vortech will have more fitment issues than h9k's RHD car, due to the AC lines running through the same area.

02 and up LHD cars have more fitment issues than the 00-01 cars. I had to build a new body side bracket to be used with a Vortech.

Use the screw for the mounts on the A/C compressor on the other side of the motor (if the valving allows that movement). Then either weld on a new bracket on that side or use a couple of the holes already available.
that's a good idea kane but that mounting point is too close to the engine mount
it may not be as effective
...hmmmm will look for another spot but the time being I will wait and see how bad the engine vibrate with the turbo compare to the supercharger

What about buying a cheaper one for a civic/integra and making a custom bracket?
I'm thinking about doing that if I can find a good machine shop around here. I'm not sure if the shock has the same damping as the s2k one though.
