there is no need to remove the vtec solenoid
you just bolt it into the engine, behind the vtec solenoid

No, you don't remove anything from the motor. There is a threaded hole just to the left. The supplied bolt goes into that location and holds bracket in place. The damper mounts to the bracket and to the STB mount.

Now you do have to cut the Fuse box mount from the car. That is why Iu had a custom mount made. I hate to cut anything.

To those of you who have one, how do you like it? What difference did you notice?

Last time I tried to get a J's Engine Damper I couldn't find one anywhere. Who sells 'em?

Bulletproof sells them, but you will have a long wait. I've been waiting 5 months and it still hasn't shown up.

The OEM header heatshield won't fit with the J's aluminum heatshield. If you don't use a header heatshield, the temperature in your engine compartment will be much higher.

I made a header heatshield out of sheet aluminum and multiple layers of aluminum foil. It only took about 20 minutes to make and install, and it works (and looks) really good!

In this pic, you can see part of the custom header heatshield:

PS- The engine damper is worth every penny, and the time spent installing it. It is absolutely functional and I highly recommend it!
