If I were you, I would sell the heatshield immediately as it is not worth the trouble to install it. Plus since your running the oem header, removing the oem heatshield will cause increased under hood temps thus a performance decrease.

You might need to bend the J's heatshield a little in order to fit.

I have put it aside for now, when I get the Comptech header I will try it agin for fitment. I hope it will fit I have polished it to a chrome like finish and with the ceramic coat that I am having done on the Comptech header it will look great

The J's heatshield will clear the J's header:

The engine temps were ridiculous without the header heat shield (and I have a vented hood). During the summer here in SoCal, I noticed a huge difference.

I made this heat shield in about 15 minutes with some sheet aluminum and many layers of aluminum foil underneath. It works great! I would take the Pepsi challenge any day with an OEM heatshield. Sorry, I don't have a better pic.

mine fit fine also. My favorite part was cutting a hole in my 300$ titanium ARC heat shield which fit perfect BTW. I'll put a pic or two up tomorrow.
