I bought a J's heat shield used so no paper work
I went to do the install and I have some clearance problems. First the post that the heater control cable is on is scraiching the side of the shield, do I have to cut some of the post that it is on to clear the shield?
2nd I have a OEM header do I have to remove the heat shield on it to clear the J's heat shield?

I did do a search about 20 pages or so and no luck on a DIY with a OEM header
i just tried installing the j's heatshield with the oem header. i spent a few hours trying to get it on with the oem header heatshield, and it would not fit on properly. i did some searching, and I guess the j's heat shield only works if your header does not have a heatshield on it already. i wasted so much time that i wasn't even able to put on my etd today.

i was wondering, has anyone been able to put the j's heat shield on with an oem header and oem heat shield? or is it just impossible?
