And you got your wrist slapped because your arguments are on the abrasive side.

Once again to clarify. I was merely pointing out that on BOTH sides of the debate there is more to work behind the ~300hp power quites than JUST the Long Blocks.

And just to be a beeyotch about it, if you're going to correct other people on their typing of your handle, make sure to get theirs right Its 1AP12NV not 1S2K2NV

People are arguing for the sake of arguing at this point. Buy what you want If we ever meet on any track anywhere we'll let lap times decide who made the best choices

I appologize UL I didn't realize you sent me these dyno charts earlier.

Here they are...

One compares a stock vs. modded F22, the other is a modded F22 vs. 350Z

Hey g-s2k, is the album that contain those dyno charts configured as publically viewable? I keep getting a "you do not have permission" error when trying to view them at full size.

Thanks!

If you are talking exchange the J's price is $8K and the Alaniz price is $4K (allowing $1000 for tuning ). If you're talking no exchange the J's price is $11K and the Alaniz price is $7K. Either way it's a $4K difference!!!!
The other difference is that with J's, they ship their motor to me, then I ship my old motor back.

With Alaniz, I ship my entire car to them, wait two months, then they ship the entire car back.

I think the choice has little to do with JDM versus USDM. I think they are in entirely different markets - one sells a product, the other a service.

Not true. Ship them a stock motor and have it built. Don't matter how you do the math it still works out much cheaper. No matter how many ECUs and other costs you throw in.

Look, at the end of the day you can dream all you like about a JDM Crate motor. I'm pretty sure if you were actually anywhere near in the market for it you'd think very differently. But from the armchair it's real easy to just crap on.

Whenyou do order it let me know. I could do with a laugh.

Yeah, but I suspect most of the work was done by the marketing department and not engineers.

So many numbers going around in this thread and now I'm confused.

Can we get some definitive figures so we can figure out if the J's motor is that far off from being a great deal?

What's the price if someone wanted to buy a brand new F22C and send it to Alaniz and UL for tuning?

What's the price if someone wanted to send their current F20C for the same tuning?

If these two have already been answered in this thread I can't find them. The numbers seem to range from $2,000-8,000.
