just did a compression test

Default just did a compression test

and i got 210-209-210-205 i cranked it about 4 times on each cylinder.

how bad are these numbers?

they are pretty good I think...
do a search and compare with results that other members have had previously.

I was told to crank until the reading doesn't change. It ended up being about 10-12 cranks. Your numbers may be inaccurate if you don't crank it enough.

oh yeah i did it way wrong. i only took the one plug out at a time and i forgot to hold wot

Iv never done a compression test, but how does the car start if the spark plugs are out? and how long do you hold wot?

you dont want the car to start you just want it to crank over. so you take the plugs out 1. to install the guage and 2 to help keep it from starting. and you hold it in wot while cranking it just to let air into the cylinder

you don't want it to start obviously, you pull the fuel for the fuel pump and take out the spark plug

oh lol my bad. yeah i dont really know much about that, but I wanna do it soon lol. So you take all plugs out, hold woot, and after a couple off times the engine turns over, check your guage. I guess i got it... I think what happend is I was listening to a couple guys at work that think they know what they are talking about and they laughed at me when i said something about holding wot when running a compression check. heh so i guess i was right
