Default just installed KWv3

...whenever i hit a bump and the wheel rebounds, it sounds like something is scraping. like the shock is hitting the fender or something like that. the one thing i didnt do was torque the 2 nuts on top the shock, where u adjust the stiffness. i didnt have the right size socket for that. wud this be the problem? im pretty sure i tighten all the bolts that i worked on tho.

how hard do i have to tighten the top nut?

You have to tighten the top nut. factory spec is 22ft/lbs.

Depending on what wheel&tires are on the car and how low you have it set, it could be rubbing in the front or the rear.

Take a look for cut marks in the tires, rub marks in the front fender liners, and at the leading edge of the rear bumper.

Coule be that you lowered the car too much and are rubbing. Also, did you tighten the set screw on the collar?

will i have to take out the shock again jus to tighten, or can i do it while its on. i kno im gonna have trouble on the driver side rear.

the tires arent rubbing at all, it sounds like the springs have play, and its bouncing up and down

and i dont have a torque bar, can i just tighten it all the way

i just noticed on one of the shocks. the allen key for the adjustable height wont turn out. there is aslight crack in the purple piece where the spring sits. it is pretty much locked down, but is there a way to get that piece replaced? or if there is a fix

Are you trying to adjust your ride height with all four wheels on the ground? If you are, raise the wheels off of the ground and adjust that way. Since this suspension uses plastic shock collars, I do not believe that it is a good idea to adjust your ride height while all four wheels are planted.

If you need a warranty replacement, contact KW Suspension at 559.875.0222
