I don't know shit and just bought a baby '03 sebring s2k. I am trying to learn as much as possible about my s2k and mechanics as possible. I dont have any money for mods right now and was wondering how to get more hp and torque. I know K & N airfilters aren't too expensive. Is it a good idea to get a K & N? how many hp will it give me if any? thnx

Well, I had to look it up ( a link would have been nice), but what is the difference between this and any other gauze filter? There are small diffs between an Accel and a K&N for example, but the essential issue of filtering capability remains.

Sometimes when the silicon level in the oil jumps when a gauze filter is employed, it is only partly because of poorer filtering, but more because of the bad sealing in the airbox. The OEM filters always are made compatible with the airbox - the aftermarket is iffy.

On systems like ours where the OEM is an axial filter and tightly clamps on the intake, this is not a problem.

I know people will say they have used a K&N on their CRX and it went 3245743345524954909 miles, but the UOA's do not lie - you have to decide if the bang( or tinkle in this case) is worth the hangover the day after. The S2000 gets plenty of air - perhaps FI requires more flow.
