Default K&N FIPK 2 Install Guide

I've learned so much here on the forum over the last few years I thought it was time to try and give a little knowledge back to the community.

I just finished installing my new K&N FIPK intake and thought I'd document the whole process in case anybody else is considering purchasing this intake, or if you already purchased it and wanted some nice instructions to go with it.

I'm going to begin documenting all sorts of S2K related things at my website, http://www.S2KHowTo.com/

For now I've just got the FIPK install posted, but stay tuned for more. Feel free to let me know what you think of my install guide.

Here's the direct link to the install:

Enjoy!

Would these instructions be exactly the same for the my2003? There weren't any changes to the air box or lines between the 2 years?

Thanks for the writeup OP. I actually installed this system already and came to the same conclusion that you did. I was just searching the forums for confirmation.

The instructions that K&N provides are a bit wrong. I emailed them to make my corrections/suggestions, but who knows if they will listen. For those who do look at the K&N instructions, the revisions are as follows.

Step 9. Please add a WARNING to users that they should
place a towel underneath the coolant hose before removal.
Step 14. "4mm(short)" hose should be used here, not (long)
Step 15. "4mm(long)" hose should be used here, not (short)

The OP has corrections for these in his HOW-TO already.
