K20 thrust bearing?

K20 thrust bearing?
This guy rebuilt his F20c but he's using K20A thrust bearings. Might this have been to avoid any issue with the current stock of thrust bearings, considering there's been a few 07 and 08 blocks with thrust bearing failures.
