Default Keyless Entry Doesn't Work

Recently, my factory keyless entry has been acting up. Sometimes it works and some times it won't. It won't lock or unlock. It seems like it occurs when the weather is hot or extremely cold. Do I need to lube something up? Or are the actuators acting out?

Put a new battery in the fob. If it still does it, then you can start troubleshooting. This sounds like a low battery in the fob, though.

I am still having this problem. I replaced the battery already. When I click lock or unlock, I hear a sound, but it's weak. Locking the driverside door no longer locks the passenger side door automatically. I have checked the fused and it's fine as well. Can someone help me troubleshoot?

I would guess door lock actuator is going.

But both sides went out at the same time. I know in my gf's g35, that when the actuator went out, it did not effect the other.

Relay going? If both went at the same time and both are intermittent it could br electrical. Yours could also be mechanical in that the linkage is stiff or sticking. How stiff are the locks to engage by the internal switch on the doors?

Mine only locks by the key - the actuator is out in the passenger door.

My buddy has a service manual and I could not find the relay for the power door locks. I checked all the fuses listed and they're all fine. I ended up convincing him to let me try his power door lock module/unit, that's located under the dash near the engine start button, and the problem still exist. When I lock the doors manually, it's easy, so it's not sticking for sure.

I'm not sure if it's the actuators..it still makes a small noise when I try to lock/unlock, but its very faint and weak. I have a feeling that its a relay because I started having this problem when the weather was hot and it was only occuring the driver side and now it's constant and it's both sides..
