Alright I was getting a .02 volt reading from my AEM with the knock sensor voltage and considering I just replaced the clutch we assumedI had broken the knock sensor during some phase of the clutch install.
After replacing the knock sensor I am still getting the same voltage reading and considering my other knock sensor looked to be in perfect condition I think I just wasted 120 bucks on a sensor.

My problem is during the tranny replacement I pinched a group of wires that is located toward the top of the tranny/housing that connects to the block. Is the knock sensor wire routed with the O2 sensor wires in that location? It would make sense that it would have been the other wire that was broken.

Also can I rewire the knock sensor to the AEM and what pin on the AEM is for knock sensor input??

Slows can you ocnfirm that this wire is in the same group as the O2 sensors above the block?

 

It's in the same harness. I'd probably look for a used engine harness and replace the whole thing.

 

Knock #1 input is "C" connector. Pin22.

I suppose 0,02 volts is Knock#1 volts not Knock#1 Raw.
Unplug the knock sensor connector and check for continuity between C22 and ground, if there is no continuity try rewiring.
BTW, can you tell me how hard is to change the Knock sensor? Is it neccesary to remove any other parts?

 

took me all of 10 minutes. I don't have an AC compressor in the way but I doubt that had anything to do with it. Its pretty much reaching your hand up and feeling for it and its harness. Disconnect the harness, verify it, put a 24mm deep well socket on one little pop, unscrew with your fingers and put the new one in. Piece of cake.

I'm sure you could sell your spare knock sensor. People break them all the time with clutch and tranny installs.
