I have a full set of OEM shocks from my '08 that I want to sell. I took them off at about 9K miles. I'd sell them for $200 shipped.

<I just cleared up some space in my PM box, in case anyone got a Full message>

Might as well post the question here too for everyone to benefit:

just want to make sure that MY08 shocks are the same as my MY03 ones, using the old MY03 springs from my car?

Acording to hondaautomotiveparts.com, the part numbers for the '03 are different from the '08. However, if you lookup the part numbers for replacement shocks from Koni, the part numbers are the same for the '03 and '08.

I'm sure the dampening is going to be different from the 03 to the 08 since they changed spring rates for sure between those years. Konis are adjustable so they can get away with a single part number.

ah ok, thx for the input spets.

gernby-- I appreciate your offer but I'm a bit concerned about the damping changes for MY04+, esp since they are different part numbers.

CKit-- I also appreciate your offer, but I think since I'm getting both rears replaced and I have a few extra bucks laying around, I might as well get some new units.

so, if you guys had a few hundred dollars laying around would it be worthwhile to upgrade just the rear shocks, or should I just go ahead with the OEMs units listed at the URL below?

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/j...+SHOCK+ABSORBER

I can probably budget ~$500 towards upgrading the shocks, and really my top priority is that the units are pretty much bolt on and provide the same or superior dampening so I can get back on the twisty roads quickest and not inconvenience the guy who is doing the installs for me.

my S2k is my daily driver, but after a long week at the office I enjoy going on spirited drives in the Santa Cruz mountains so improved handling would be appreciated if replacing the rears is worthwhile and around ~$500.

any suggestions?
