Default Help with my squeaking rear end!

This has been going on since the beginning of my ownership about a month ago. It's a 00 model that's lowered an inch. There is a terrible squeak from the passenger rear area. It squeaks like hell when driving over uneven surfaces. Here in La. it's everywheres. Also when going up and down my driveway and over speed bumps it squeaks. Note, this is only the right rear. From outside I put my hands in the passenger rear wheel well and pull upwards aggressively and it squeaks. Doesn't occur anywhere else. There's also humming from the rear when I let go of the accelerator in gear as if something were vibrating at insane speeds. Not sure if these two are related. The mechanic I brought it to said the shocks needed to be replaced. He rode with me a couple times to diagnose the problem and he's pretty sure it's the shocks. So I purchased 4 shocks from a board member and planned on getting them installed, but it just seems strange to me that the shocks are bad because the car drives and handles great. When I push down on the rear end it pops back up into place nicely. It's my daily driver so I would notice if it were to drive badly. I think that something could possibly be loose due to the humming sound but not sure about the squeaking. I hope ya'll can give me your insight on the situation. Sorry for the long post! It's just difficult to explain everything in words.

To isolate your squeak, spray some silicone spray liberally, (it won't harm anything) On the shock where the spring meets the rubber cups top and bottom! This should eliminate your shock squeak if that is creating the problem!

As for the humming sound, has the car had TSB-054 done yet?

Try greasing the rear sway bar bushings.

Might want to make sure that the upper A-arms are nice and tight
