Unhappy L.S.D. problems!? Heavy vibrations from rear while

Hi guys,

I need quick in fo here.

I just bought a used S2000 whic will produce heavy vibrations from the back end when doing thight cornering with load ( full throttle).

It does it especially in thight right corners when in 1st or second gear when there is a lot of torque on the wheels.

So on thight right corners the vibrations come mainly from the rear left wheel and vice versa.

First I thought it would be the suspension (old dampers) but it may also be the differential or even the Limited Slip Differential.

Is there anyone who hast experienced this before?!

Please help cause if it's too expensive to fix I need to try to give the car back as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Yves

I am also a new but not happy owner of a S2000 with the same problem.

My car is 2001.
I went to the servicemechnic and they are goint to replace the hole differintial and the inner drivechafts.

This car is not meant to be driven just for looking at.
This is funniest car i have ever driven BUT it is not like a normal Honda in quality

Sounds like the inner CV joints are worn, I know a couple members have had the same problem! If your car is still under warranty Honda should cover it!

I don't have the link, but there is a good link with pictures of this problem!

Replace inner CV's. Been there done that. Track driving and drag launches are the likely culprit. Normal street driving is not going to cause this kind of damage.

CV joint, driver side, inboard. It's pitted and needs to be replaced.

Absolutely. I first experienced my issues on low speed right-hand turns at turn exit (full throttle) and increasing vibration as speed exceeded 130 mph on straight aways(also at full throttle). As the symptoms become more drastic, the damage is probably more severe. If you are getting rear vibration under throttle at public road speeds, then things are pretty bad. Be sure to eliminate any other possiblities before buying new parts though.

glad to see you didnt get scammed! Even at $15k, a few new parts still puts you well below blue book value
