Default Leakage

Hey guys I have a problem with my car and i'm not exactly sure what to do or what to replace. My s2000 has been burning oil hence creating a whitish smoke from my tail pipe and out from my engine bay around the turbo manifold.

I soon discovered some leakage around the connection point between the turbo manifold and the pipe that runs towards the back of my car. There is also some oil around the trans as well as between the engine cover and the engine itself. I'm afraid that I have a major leak problem w and have a feeling its going to be an expensive repair.

If anyone knows what to do or any good places to take it to please let me know. I reside in Garland TX.

Top of engine bay looking downwards. Honey-colored oil seeping between white engine bay cover and engine bay. Head gasket? Rubber seal?

Oil buildup around transmission. Loose plug?

Oil leaking from the connection point between the turbo manifold and the back pipe. Is there even supposed to be oil IN my turbo manifold??? And could this be the cause of the white smoke out the pipe and engine bay area??

Thanks to all that help!

Looks like its leaking from the valve cover and the turbo, at least from the pics thats what I can tell. Get some brake clean and clean the areas that are wet until they are totally dry. Next run the engine for a while or go drive it for a short period then check where your leak is. Also consider gravity. If the entire engine is wet from top to bottom but stops right at the valve cover gasket, the valve cover is leaking.

Hope this helps

I agree.... clean it all up to see exactly where it's coming from. To me, the one picture definitely looks like you're losing oil through your turbo. So chances are you're going to need a rebuild on that turbo. Beyond that, maybe just a valve cover gasket. If it's running fine and not knocking, I wouldn't suspect bearings or anything of that sort. I would definitely get the turbo fixed though as that excess oil usage could either starve your engine of oil if it gets too low or if there is enough pressure drop due to the leaking seals. Either way, starving this motor of oil even for a split second will result in serious damage.

I did drive the car around and no leaks but it does have a slow leak coming out the valve cover.

Besides the fact, i've decided i'm going to be parting ways with the turbo and intercooler kit so If ya'll know anyone that would take it off my hands for a decent price in their current condition let me know. I don't have the time or money to maintain or repair a turbo charged car. But i can assure you that won't be the end of the turbo as I plan on getting a better kit later on in the future once i'm stable with everything else. Afterall I bought the car with the kit on it already.

Thanks to all that have helped me out, I really appreciate it!

Well, you can clearly see the valve-cover is leaking, thats a nice place to start
