hey guys, I know this may be a little bit of a difficult thing to answer without seeing it for yourself, but thought id ask. Ive got a slight oil leak from my engine from the rear left when looking at it from the front. Its just below the cam cover, which lead me to believe it could be the gasket, this was replaced and a little bit of hondabond applied to seal it on, No luck still leaks...

Theres no visible damage to the cam cover or the rear of the engine so im a bit stumped really its one of those annoying leaks as it goes onto the exhaust manifold and will burn off and stink when the engines started

any ideas/guesses/advice ?

 

Have you properly de-greased and cleaned the area to get a really good idea of where it's coming from. Possibly higher up; on the cam position sensor or one of the hold-down bolt grommets for instance ?

 

its not leaking down the cam cover but from underneath it, ive cleaned the area, replaced cam cover then started up the engine and watch it seep out

 

In that case a blocked PCV valve pressurising the crank case maybe ?
