You can have the front tire dismounted then rotated (side to side) so that they keep the same rotation direction. Some tires say "Out-side only", these are gay and usualy have "Good Year" writen on them.

My old Mercedes had factory AMG off-set wheels and I could almost double the tire life by rotating them this way every 10k even though the dealer suggested not to.
To do that to they have to redo the valve stems then ? I have the original Bridgestones on them and thought about that but then figure there will be a small cost for doing that if they can ?

I think it's great that you figured out your problem. However, swapping the left and right front tires just made the car drift to the left when it was previous drifting to the right? If this is the case, I would check your tire pressure.

Go to any auto parts store and spend $10-15 on a nice, digital tire gauge. Don't waste time with the cheapo .89c pen gauges. I notice a difference when there is as little as 1psi variation between the front left and right tires. Our cars are very sensitive to tire pressure, if one front tire is 32psi and the other is 33.5, you will notice it.

Is there a specific brand you recommend or any digital gauge ? Also, now that I know the tires are causing the problem, am i hurting anything by leaving them on ?

Tires marked "outside only" are asymmetrical and need to be mounted and run as indicated.

Since i have the stock bridgestone should I be able to swap the two fronts off of the rim so they are still going in the same direction ?

Thanks for the post. I had the car back at the dealer, they had 4 techs and the manager drive it. They put it on the rack, checked the steering components, computer and cannot find anything bad or out of spec.

The dealer was even courteous enough to let me drive a brand new 2007 since its the same year as mine, and while I thought it wasn't doing what I have been complaining about, I think some of it may be the placebo effect.

I took it to a third party shop as well and they found nothing.

At this point I think it is me. Maybe this being my first rear wheel drive car or just my expectations are different than how the car is performing.

I'm going to have a friend who use to race and build cars from scratch drive it and see what he says. But I suspect he too will find nothing unordinary.

Thanks again for the replys, maybe its time I check into a Halfway house
