Suitable for towing "very short distances such as freeing the vehicle." (Page 179 in your owners manual.)

The tow straps are something people fit when at the track. So if they spinout into gravel and need to get pulled out, track officials have something to hook to, or else they'll just hook to any part of car they can reach even if can cause damage, because its a life safety issue and car needs gone.

But then track cars on street with these things make the kool kids want to use them every day. Half of them probably have no idea what they're for.

Its a bit like putting your keys on one of those Not For Climbing D rings, because a lot of these cheap straps are for show and probably wouldn't hold up trying to pull car.

Well this was fun! NOT!!
So I thought I would try these quickjacks out today, went through the manual again and got started. Put air in the air cylinders, boy are they touchy, very small volume in there would account for that. Compressor filled to much too fast and then checking pressure released too much air so... I got out my little suspension pump for my Harley and it worked perfect! Hydraulic fluid was a hair low so I topped it off then proceeded to set things up. everything was going fine, got the jacks positioned under the car and following the directions proceeded to lift the car, took it up past the first stop, and set it down on said stop. All was going well raised it a bit more to release the cam and set it back down.. this is where things went awry!! As I'm trying to set it back down it seemed uneven, right side looked good, but the left (driver) side was not dropping, in fact it seemed higher than the right side ever went! Oh no... my new little toy was leaning. .a lot! So I picked it back up some to even it out some and had a look around ... looked like the right side front block had rolled off the lift point! Hmmm, now what?? Called the customer help line and after a lengthy wait I finally got a live person, she wrote up a ticket and said they would get back to me! So I was on my own with my car up on the lift and crooked! So I did this and that for a while and finally got it back on the ground YAY!!
So my only guess is when the block rolled off the front right lift point it bound up the left side jack a little hence its reluctance to lower. So the car is back on the ground and I'll take another crack at it tomorrow. And I'm thinking I'll set those blocks on there sideways instead of lengthwise and see how it goes!

And no I got no pics while it was leaning, I was trying to keep it from falling over, not take pics

Do the hoses need to be bled? Having the individual cylinders raise or lower unevenly would alarm me.

Yes, they need an initial bleed procedure done.

I recall before my first lift, I had to do a trial run with no weight on the unit.

Also, I check the blocks just prior to the full lift just as they contact the lift points on the car.
good luck tomorrow.
