Default Liquid gasket on head

So i'm finally about to put my head back together and i need some high temp liquid gasket.

it goes around the timing chain housing.

i looked on alldata it just says to put it on top of the head gasket, but when i removed the head, there was liquid gasket on the head and the block??

so i guess i'll play it safe and do both again.

just looking for some input.

also, is any high temp liquid gasket okay?

i dont have a local honda dealership :/

You just need "Hondabond" around the timing chain opening. A thin bead just inside the headgasket around just that hole.

Any RTV will work just fine.

I assume you have a OEM service manual? If not, go get one.

You would not be asking this question if you used the OEM service manaul. So dead on or not, there is a gap.

Here is the anwser to your question.
