Looking for: DIY O2 Sensor
I've tried using the search for about half an hour but can't seem to find the thread. It was basically a thread that had pics on how to modify the sensor that goes into the test pipe in order to get rid of the CEL. What it did was just move the sensor a little further back so that it wouldn't detect the fumes as much.
Anyone happen to have a link to it?

The CEL light can be triggered by ANY of dozens upon dozens of faults in this car. The sec. O2 is only one.

O2 simulators trick the ECU into seeing a "normal" condition. An electronic one will work to eliminate your CEL because it will "talk" to the ECU. It's just that it will tell the ECU a lie.
A "Mechanical" simulator is just that - a mechanical device. You still have to have a working O2 sensor (which you don't).
