Default which decat will not throw a CEL Code

hi guys.. looking to buy a decat for my s, however i dont want no engine management light showing. Is there a branded decat out there with an o2 hole available that will not throw a code? there are a couple i have seen on ebay but state that a o2 simluator may be needed to prevent the cel light from popping up.??

All you have to do is buy a decat with a O2 sensor threaded hole (which is almost all of them) and buy a O2 sensor adaptor. The adapter is a hollow threaded piece with male and female threads. You screw the adapter into the decat and screw the O2 sensor into the adapter. The adapter makes it so that the O2 sensor is not in the direct path of the exhaust. The sensor just reads clean air inside the adapter since the sensor is now outside of the decat.

How about using a Garage-R model? https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=790237 a fair few people have these with no CEL.

I have the GarageR one fitted to mine. Had it on for about 3-400 miles and so far so good. No CEL issues at all. I'd PM Rob at GarageR if I were you, nice bit of kit.

Chad.
