Default Loose rear end problem

I replaced my rear wheel bearings last week, but after reassembly, the rear end feels very loose. Pretty much every thing looks in good order, ie: rubbers, bearings, sway bar, ball joints felt ok but they had no weight on them when I looked, all cv's are less than 4000kms old. Although 1 of my rear shocks has been stuffed for a while now, and I had a little trouble removing 1 ball joint so could have possibly damaged that I suppose. Had it up on a hoist for an hour or so and can't see a definite problem. What do you guys think?

Did you tighten the ever loving shit out of the rear axle nuts? There are several DIY threads on this forum. Factory setting are way too low.

That, and even though you didn't touch the alignment adjusters I would at least get your alignment checked. When DaGou says tighten the axle nuts, he means 180ft lbs + 60 degrees, or around 370ft lbs. Don't go more than 75 degrees though, the axle stub shaft itself can snap with that much clamping load(ask me how I know).

a bad shock will affect the rear end if it is indeed dead or stuffed like you stated.
