Default loss of power

Please help me with my problem I'm getting very frustrated with it! I blew my head gasket a couple weeks ago I got it fixed and since it got fixed my cars been drinking coolant over heating and feels like it has 0 power the vtec crossover that used to pop and throw you in your seat is now simply just a noise I took it back to the place they put in my new reservoir and put the coolant under pressure and it held 15lbs no problem for 90 minutes but I feel as though I lost a ton of power like the car feels like a civic now it no longer has that throw upu back in your seat affect and the people at the shop don't know why its not the same. The head gasket was replaced. They added arp headstuds and I got my valves adjusted. What should I do!?!

thank you in advance for all the help please be respectful to me I'm simply asking for help and advice.

make sure they bled the motor properly otherwise you will overheat. If the car has been drinking coolant then the problem is not fixed. Double check compression and oil in coolant or vise versa. Did you send the head off to the machine shop to check for warpage?

they checked out the head and said it was fine flat with no defects. from what they said the system was bled properly. I'm just going to keep going back repeatedly until they pull the head off and fix it again.

Yeah a compression/leakdown would have been the first thing on the list as soon as the new gasket was put in.

Awesome. Let us know how it goes. What your looking for is consistancy across all cylinders. Anything more than a 15 difference might indicate an issue.

I just wanted to update everyone. that you for everyone's help and advice. we figured out what was wrong. the head was fine everything was fine but there is an internal crack in the block. apparently it's been there for awhile but got worse. we figured out that the last owner didn't treat my baby as well as I do... It's ashame how people can abuse cars and then just pass off their problems to someone else. thanks again guys she will be up again soon.
