How can people "feel" a 2 horsepower loss

Your car feels sluggish because of a combination of being in the wrong gear and mostly placebo effect.

I agree. My ass dyno can't feel the difference in my old Comptech, my old stock, my new intake, my exhaust any of it. Its all in your head. No one can feel a 2whp gain

3rd gear at 30mph your car should feel slugish, your in a car that has almost no torque and shift at 8k rpms. Rev that bitch up and enjoy it above 6k like its meant to be

believe me, this is not all in my head. i know our cars are meant to be in the higher rpms, but i honestly believe that if i was in 3rd going 30 and floor it, ide take off and accelerate alot faster before i installed the fipk.

if your saying i should be feeling higher end power, then theres definetly something wrong because when i hit vtec it still feels sluggish. i used to have a cold air intake o ym rsx-s and when i hit vtec the sound and feel change dramatically, in my s2k with the fipk it just get a little louder and still accelerates moderetly slower than stock.

i even dropped it down to 3rd going 60mph and floored it on the freeway, and i didnt take off like i used to. the throttle pedal just feels weird now, like it feels soft. my car just sounds really loud but feels like its accelerating slow.

when i used to make a turn at around 30mph ide drop it in 2nd and open the throttle a little and slide the tailcoming out the turn. i tried doing that last night too and it didnt slide.

Did you have to mount an o2 sensor when doing the install? Check all connections, if everything looks good, start replacing sensors. Keep in mind that for most people more sound + same acceleration = feels like the car is slower. Maybe run against another stock s2000?
