ok guys, i got an oil change and it was synthetic and i pretty much spent 50 dollars on this bull shit and it didn't do SHIT! no difference but seems a bit smoother. ima check the fuses and just push em all in harder adn see what happens. i really think it MAY be the clutch but if not, it seems like somethign holds back the air in teh car. as if it has a problem with pushin the air out of the car.

It's very easy to test the clutch to see if it's slipping. Put it in a high gear at a low speed and floor the gas. If the clutch is slipping the engine will rev up faster than the car picks up speed. It's easier to see if the clutch is slipping in a higher gear.

If the clutch is causing you problems, the engine will run OK, normal, but since the clutch is slipping the engine will gain speed much faster than normal. The extreme example is when someone tries to do a burnout and the engine is running at 8000 rpm, the clutch is fully engaged (the pedal is all the way up) and the car isn't moving.

Changing the engine's oil should have no bearing on the way the engine is running. Unless the engine's oil was so bad (very neglected), it wasn't really oil any longer, but sludge.

thats waht one of the moderators in my post said could be the problem. i was due for an oil change anyways in about 200 miles. for example when i am in 6th gear and pretty much floor it 90% probably the speedo puts up only about 1-2 mph in about 5 seconds or more. and hwen i gun first gear the rpm flies up but the speed doesn't really go up and then we vtec engages the pull back doesn't occur AS HARD as it did before. i mean before vtec would engage and you felt the pull now its like a pussy ass pull of a si or something. feels as if no power is getting to the wheels from the motor and what seems to be ironic is that another member has teh same bull shit problem taht is also stressing his life up. i know exactly how north feels. waht the could be the problem.

I keep following this thread out of curiosity. I remember I had a similar problem years ago with an old Honda Civic I had. We tried everything from fuel filters to distributor, to wires. Nothing seemed to work, In the end it turned out to be a bad set of "new" plugs. Apparently the plugs would overheat, and misfire after the car warmed up. This was missed by several mechanics, and was kind of a last ditch effort thing. Spent alot of money chasing a bad set of plugs. I know you have changed them, but are they the correct heat range, and gapped correctly? Our problems were VERY similar.

Hye hecash, i dont know if you recall, but i am the second member in this thread having, what seems to be, the same problem......from page 4 or 5, haha. Anyways.... I noticed if my car sits a day, when i start it up, it almost doesnt start up. I put the key in, push clutch in, push shiny red button, and it will have one bar , one SINGLE bar on tach, and it will cough around at the one bar, almost not starting, for about 10-12 seconds. After that, it will start. Also, when i rev at any rpms, it will drop to about 1 or 2 bars. Note: This isnt happening all the time, but most of the time.....Just the other day, i drove her and she was fine, with a small exception on the way home from an hour drive.
Cyprus and I have discussed through pms, and we both have the same issues with our cars.

What have I done recently?
I replaced air filter with KandN filter.
Valvoline said my 'battery lite' on the battery said it was bad, so i replaced that.

I was told, when i went in for the taillight recall, that my car had a spark plug recall as well, before I purchased the car, which had allready been taken care of.

I checked all vacume lines, they all seem intact, however, I have not had it tested.

I FEEL SOOO LOST, because usually I can fix things, but I'm clueless guys....
