According to Billman, the stretch indicator can be inaccurate. He recommends running a new belt for at least a half an hour and then mark it. That is the new starting point.
He also said the OEM can last a very long time, beyond the stretch mark for replacement.

What's the Honda part number for the 2006 cars? I found a part number for the '08 and '09 (31110-PCX-505) but the websites say it won't work on my car!

I think the part number is the same unless you have a club racer.

Should be: 38920-PCX-024

Well i drove my car quite a bit tonight. No squeaking noises. I have my fingers crossed, but hopefully that solved the problem. Will post in here if I hear the squeak again. Thanks everyone for all your help!

Thanks, that's it! Same belt for all AC fitted cars.

And thanks for the Amazon link as well; just placed the order.

The best part was when I talked to the service department to get a quote to change my serpentine belt. I was going to do it on my own but I was still curious. They told me it would be $232+ tax "best case scenario." I asked why so much and the guy told me it was a "two and a half hour job." Lol. Literally took me less than 60 seconds to do. What a joke.

Okay so the new belt didn't fix the squeak noise. Although, I did get more of an idea how to reproduce the noise. It is not linked to shifting what so ever. That was a fluke I think.

I heard the noise a number of times tonight while the car was idling at the gas station. The engine was completely warm and I was waiting in line for gas. My normal idle is at 1,000 rpms. It sounded like the rpms dropped slightly (maybe to 900). Then it sounds like the engine idler compensated for it and brought it up to around 1,100 before it settled back down to around 1K. When it brings the rpms up it sounds like a valve opens or something and air squeaks out. What could this noise be coming from? Obviously it might not be a valve, but that's just what it sounds like. I've only been able to hear the noise with the A/C on.

Edit: So from under the hood it looks like this is the process while the car is warm and idling and the A/C is on. Both fans are running. Fans stop running. Engine gets slightly more quiet. Both fans kick back on and within 5 seconds there is a squeak noise that sounds like a valve is opening and air is being let out.

could the A/C compressor relief valve be failing?
