I remove my shocks twice trying to figure this out.
I preloaded the suspension every time.
Wish I knew what is causing this.

could be a bad shock. I had that problem
I also had a problem with the seating of the springs used that caused the clunk

since yours is new im assuming, check to see if the cap is lined of with the rest of the shock<<IE OEM shocks have paint marks running from the bottom of the spring base to the cap of the shock.

just a idea

My Koni rear shocks also make alot of noise. I notice it most at low speed and small bumps. I put them on and preloaded the suspension.

I guess you are finding out how good Koni's really are now huh?

So much for proven real life facts and testing..

i love the ride.

the noise can be a completely isolated issue.

i'm not blaming KONI on this...

^ I would expect not after the previous arguments.

On a more serious note, have you isolated it any further thus far?

hey man, if you find anything out, please let me know.

It would save me a lot of trouble loosening and re-torquing my entire suspension.
This isn't a bad idea on a newly installed system BTW..... you should get off your ass and do this anyways man!!! I had a a few things loosen up a bit! Can't hurt for the safety factor after all!
