Low Budget 2.4l Stroker Kit?
#12
As the the redline question, the stock accord, element, crv k24 is safely capable of reving up to 7200rpm all day long (thinner weaker rods than tsx) the tsx is know to take 8200rpm all day long as well. notice those are stock rods and pistons and if you use good aftermarket rods and pistons I imagedn you can take it up much higher.

that might be what honda has it set to for it but 8200 is what some the guys on k20a.org like to run on them.

ok this may be true, but still the point im trying to make is those are 100% stock parts including stock valvetrain. if you were to beef up the valve train in the tsx along with the rods then it is safe to say that it could do it.

Well, I have given up on doing turbo for my s2000 and am now getting into scca racing so I am going allmotor. Luckly I have a k24 long block in perfect condition at the shop and a s2000 shortblock that could use a pair of sleeves crank pistons and rods so I am going to give the theorys a test now. If anybody has ran into any info for doing this build please let me know, otherwise I hope to have my budget 2.5l stroker running within the next 2 months.
Thanks for having such a great website!
