Default Low compression

I have an ap1 03 with low compression around 180-190 on all four cylinders. An I’m trying to find a shop that could check my motor an see what I could do to get it fixed. I’m trying to find recommendations to shops that are in or around the Bay Area that are very knowledgeable on our motors. Or could tell me what my option are. I have had my car sitting for a year I want to get my baby back on the road to enjoy her. Any help would be appreciated.

?

The compression test results will depend on your tester. You said you got consistent numbers at 180-190.

Why are you worried about this? What results would you like to see?

well I took it to a shop an was told an giving pictures of the compression in the cylinders. A was told it would need to have a rebuild or replaced as it could have had some bent valves possibly frm over rev. It’s 190 200 200 an 220 give or take afew psi.

Those numbers aren't that low. Why did you take it to a shop at the first place?

How is the car running? How is the engine idling? Starting? Will it run into VTEC range okay? Burning oil?

Thanks!

Is there some issue with how the car drives?

Has anyone done a leakdown test to see where the compression loss is going?

I was just trying to get my retainers checked an turned out I had 3 cracked retainers so I’m glad I didn’t drop a valve. Then after the shop did a compression check n told me the info I stayed earlier
