Lowering VTEC

the gauge usually says OFF until VTEC engages...but it turns ON at 6200 still...it makes me a sad panda

never mind, I lowered it to 5700 5200 and 4800 and vtec came on right at those rpm's. It's working well for me, I don't know why yours is acting up?

dont forget to set high and low cam

I have mine at 5500 and 5700

it comes on at 5700

so um. i worked with it for like an hour and it just didnt work. keeps engaging at 6200. HI>LO is set to 5800 and LO>HI is set at 5200. what am i not doing right?

do i have to screw with the other VTEC thing? cause in settings theres 2, i beleive one says VTEC CONT and the other something else?

actually i beleive i can. im gonna drop it down more and see if i can hear. i dont understand why it doesnt show up on the VAFC tho...

hey i am new to tuning and I was wondering what you mean when you talk about lo to hi and hi to lo cam settings. What does that do and why does that need to be adjusted also? Thanks..

update:
i had my car dyno tuned with my VAFC. car is dialed in at 13.4/1 AFR and my tuner lowered VTEC to 5700 rpms, i guess thats where my car really liked it. picked up about 11rwhp. we will see when i do my "power" pull on the dyno i pulled my baseline exactly how much i made.

Was your max gain 11, or did your max hp go up 11? Where did you get it tuned??
