Thumbs up MAGNAFLOW TI

I'm sure most of you know that I was trying to sell my second Magnaflow TI exhaust that I got from JRODS2000. The exhaust was still wrapped in the bubble wrap and everything was still in the sealed plastic.

Let me just say up front that I'm not putting any blame or complaining to the person that I bought this exhaust from "JRODS2000"

Well I decided that I wanted to put it on my car so I did. Well after having it on the car for only 1 day I'm getting a frickin rattle sound. The rattle that I'm getting is on decel around 3000 something RPM to about 900 RPM. And it sounds like a metal on metal contact.

The first Magnaflow TI that I got had a broken resonator which made the same noise as this is making. But this time I don't think that it's the resonator because before I put it on my car I shook it and it didn't make a rattle like the 1st exhaust did that I knew had a broken resonator. Well just by shaking it I can't be a 100% sure that the resonator wasn't broken but since it was brand spankin new I figured it was in good shape.

Is anyone else with this exhaust getting the same rattle noise? Do all TI's have this rattle noise on decel?

Could the other Magnaflow TI owners please tell me what your experience has been with this exhaust?

Thanks
Bruce

Sorry for the long post.

Are you sure its the exhaust itself? What about interior pieces? I had a HELL of a rattle with my car. I tracked it down to a loose fuel pump access plate due to the extra noise that the exhaust produced.

Well I went under the car and shook the exhaust like the guy at the shop did with my first Magnaflow and sure enough the rattle is coming from inside the exhaust. I made sure the hangers were on tight and then I held on to them with my hand and hit the exhaust with the palm of my hand and the rattle is coming from inside the exhaust.

Wow is there really nobody on this site with this exhuast? I guess everyone else doesn't have problems with theirs, or people were smart enough to stay away from this exhaust.

I was at a shop where someone had it and when I mentioned the rattle I was told "thats just what they do." So that may just be the case! Sorry about that man. Cool exhaust though.

I went to a shop and they said the rattle is coming from the resonator. The rattle is really bad when I start the car up but then after a while it doesn't seem that bad. But maybe it's because my hearing is gone after driving with the exhaust.
