Maintenance Needed for an '05 with 6100 Miles
Here's an update after my visit to Brighton (Michigan) Honda yesterday:
- Car has about 6200 miles on it.
- Technician changed engine oil & filter, brake fluid, trans fluid, clutch fluid, and diff fluid.
- Technician confirmed battery was bad (as I suspected) and replaced it with Honda battery.
- Technician confirmed that all spring spacers were removed.
- Total cost was a bit over $500.
As for other amenities (I waited): the coffee was good, wi-fi worked well, a lady was waiting with her friendly Newfie dog that folks walked by and petted constantly, and my fiancee would probably like the Fit, Civic, or Accord when we replace her Malibu in the next couple years.

congrats----$500 for all that at a dealer including a battery isn't a bad price.
one things to check---what fluid did they use for the rear diff? there have been many horor stories on dealers using the wrong fluid (using the fluid for the CRV rear axle) and ruining the rear diff on our cars in just a few miles of driving. Honda doesn't have a stock number for the fluid for the rear diff so dealers have to buy it locally (any 75-90 LSD capatible gear lube like Mobile 1 or Amsoil works (some folks use the 75-140 Mobile 1))
Which fluid they used should be on your invoice or call the dealer and ask.
(Don't want to make you paranoid, but there are a number of threads on here where dealers used the wrong lube (many of them don't see these cars too often)

Oh, and all you DIY fans - good for you. That's not where my talents lie.
