Default Maintenence Required Light.

Coming home Tonight I was cruising in 4th gear, about a mile from my house. And I was freezing cold, so I turned the heat onto the highest fan setting. The car was completely warmed up, it had been running/driving for about 20 minutes. I turned the fan from all the way high, to off, and the Maintenence Required Light flashed about 5-6 times, then turned off. I was a mile from home, so I came home and shut it down. It's been sitting for about 10 minutes now. I just changed the oil and the battery about 3 day's ago, no oil is leaking out, and I haven't yet checked the oil level, but I assume it should be at the same mark it was 3 day's ago when I changed it.

The car is stone stock, with 31,100 miles on it. Is there something I am supposed to reset when the oil is changed, like most Civic's have? Since it was changed once at the Dealer, the last two I have done myself.

Is this normal for the light to randomly blink, or because it blinked, does that mean something little is wrong? Would it stay solid instead of flashing if something major was wrong?

Any thought's, I am stumped. I have an appointment with the Dealer on Wed. to get my radio code read, think I should have them check it out?

Thanks,
Matt.

It's in the FAQ at the top of the forum and your Owner's manual

Others may say RTFM

Thank you. I've never really thought of myself one day owning an S2000. So once I picked one up in August it was like stepping into a whole new world haha. I assumed the light that flashed was the equivalent of a CEL. Since there are so many different reasons for a CEL, I never would of guessed the manual would list a reason why it'd flash, or come on for that matter.

Oh well, thanks man.
